The title sequense starts of with the movie title 'the uninvited' is floating in the middle of the screen, the colour of the font is camouflaged with the colour of the sparks, makes you think of the meaning of the title relating to the fire because fire is something we prefer not to invite, may be the reason why the director has used the idea of camouflaging the colurs of the font with the sparks.
Moving on, following with the cast and credits in the black background and sparks of fire, the camera is lowered into the flames and then we see an extreme close up of the fire. The sound in the background is diegetic, you can hear the pickering and spitting noise of the fire burning, which creates a dark and eery atmosphere at the start of the film.
